The Government Office for Science offers UK Intelligence Community (IC) Postdoctoral Research Fellowships to outstanding early career science or engineering researchers. These Fellowships are designed to promote unclassified basic research in areas of interest to the intelligence, security and defence communities. The Centre for Protection of National Infrastructure, Department for Transport, Defence Science and Technology Laboratory, Home Office, and the National Cyber Security Centre are among the organisations represented in the UK Intelligence Community for the Postdoctoral Research Fellowships. Fellowship in Medical Statistics for African Scientists

The TEG Training Fellowship Scheme launched in 2005 and forms a key part of TEG’s investment in capacity development strategy. The Scheme enables promising research students from Sub-Saharan Africa to undertake MSc training in Medical Statistics at LSHTM followed by a year working as a statistician at one of our partner centres in Africa. Joint Japan/World Bank Scholarship for Japanese Nationals

The World Bank Robert S. McNamara Fellowships Program (RSMFP)

The Robert S. McNamara Fellowships Program (RSMFP) provides support to developing country nationals who are PhD candidates in developing countries.  RSMFP offers 6–10 months of funding up to $25,000 to conduct PhD research in a World Bank member country other than the Fellow’s home country or country of residence. RSMFP was established in 1982 with $2.8 million in funding from the World Bank and the governments of Bangladesh, China, India, Kuwait, Nigeria, Pakistan, Peru, and former Yugoslavia. A cornerstone of the RCC mission at Harvard is the attraction and support to young talent. Due to the traditional structure of academic careers, Junior Scholars who have just received their doctorate usually find it more difficult to gain access to the most prestigious universities, either for reasons related to curriculum development or lack of funding. Along with this, another problem common to the Junior Scholars is the possibility of making internationalization compatible with the academic career in the universities of their preference.
