15 PhD scholarships on nanomaterials and quantum technologies for digital transformation

The Hannover School for Nanotechnology (hsn) invites applications for PhD scholarships on nanomaterials and quantum technologies for digital transformation

The hsn is a coordinated doctoral program of the Laboratory of Nano and Quantum Engineering of Leibniz University Hannover together with the Hannover University of Applied Sciences and Arts. The disciplines of physics, chemistry and engineering sciences are involved. The aim of the doctoral program is the interdisciplinary education of young scientists in the highly topical field of nanotechnology with a focus on nanomaterials and quantum technologies for digital transformation.

The hsn has set itself the goal of providing outstanding education in excellent research projects with short and intense doctoral period without loss of quality. Entry into the doctoral program is possible for graduates with a master’s degree in nanotechnology or physics, chemistry, electrical or mechanical engineering (or similar). For students with an excellent Bachelor’s degree, hsn supports a fast track career (during the Master’s thesis).

Leibniz University Hannover wants to particularly promote equal professional rights for women and men and therefore strongly encourages qualified women to apply. Severely disabled applicants are given preference if they have the same qualifications.

Detailed information can be found on the website www.hsn.uni-hannover.de.

Up to 15 new Georg-Christoph-Lichtenberg scholarships will be awarded from June 2020 onwards. Interested students can apply until 19.03.2020. The application (including application form, official transcripts, statement of purpose, CV, and at least one letter of recommendation) should be sent as PDFs via e-mail to: Schulze-Wischeler@LNQE.uni-hannover.de. See our website for details on the application.
