  • Founded in 2006, BTC is a unique partnership between China’s Tsinghua University and The Brookings Institution in Washington, DC. It is a leading think tank in China that produces high quality and high impact policy research in areas of fundamental importance for Chinese society and for better U.S.-China relations. In addition, it serves as a significant platform for U.S.-China dialogues on a number of important topics, bringing together researchers and policymakers to enhance mutual understanding and cooperation.   The Brookings-Tsinghua Center for Public Policy (BTC), located in Beijing, is seeking Three part-time communications interns in Fall2018 to assist with communications, events, and administrative and outreach activities. The internship is based in Beijing, China, and will last from September 17, 2018 to January 18, 2019. Fall interns are expected to devote at least 3 days per week to BTC.   • This external sponsorship/academic credit internship, beginning in January 2019, is an opportunity for undergraduate students in their junior or senior year, or graduate students with an interest in non-profit/facilities management, to apply principles and theory learned in the classroom in a professional environment.   This unpaid internship provides a pre-professional learning experience that offers meaningful, practical work experience related to the student’s field of study or career interest. It will provide an opportunity for career exploration and development as well as a chance to learn new skills.   Applicants must be willing to commit to a minimum number of hours per week (no less than 16 hours preferably over at least 2 consecutive days per week, during regular business hours), with some flexibility around an academic course schedule. The internship will last approximately 10 weeks.
