Position summary

Post Doctoral Researcher (Job Opening 438168) – Post doctoral researcher to pursue specialized research training and experience under the guidance of a scientific mentor in a research lab in the Comprehensive Cancer Center to study molecular and cellular mechanisms of B-cell lymphomas; develops, adopts, and implements new laboratory methods to study the pathogenesis of B-cell malignancies; identifies novel genes and examines their role in cancer development and progression; analyzes changes in gene expression and protein expression and how these changes relate to malignant phenotype; assists with training staff in basic and advanced laboratory techniques; participates in data analysis for manuscripts and grants submissions.

Education and experience

Doctoral degree required. Extensive experience in cell and molecular biology preferred with excellent skills in cell/molecular biology techniques including cell culture, Western blot, flow cytometry, qPCR, DNA cloning, vector construction, gene editing via si/shRNA and crispr. Experience with mouse models is desirable. Requires successful completion of a background check. Selected candidate may be requested to complete a pre-employment physical including a drug screen.
