Project Manager, WWF Cambodia

WWF Cambodia is seeking a Project Manager. The proposed two-million dollar USAID-funded FLAGSHIP project over three years will have a focus in Cambodia’s Eastern Plains Landscape, where activities will continue to build on U.S. investments and lessons learned from previous activities. Activities will focus on the improved management of Eastern Plains with a range of appropriate activities taking place at the sub-national level along with strategic investments at the national level with various ministries and institutions. This comprehensive activity will focus on biodiversity conservation, strengthening the governance and polices related to the Eastern Plains, and increase sustainable economic growth at the sub-national level.

Grants Administration Analyst – 18041

The primary focus of this position is to support the effective implementation of WWF’s grantee risk assessment, monitoring, and mitigation process and procedures through improved data collection, analysis, and presentation of key information and trends.     In this role, the position will work with all relevant departments in WWF Program Operations as well as across the wider organization to identify key information needs and data sources related to grantee risks, compliance, and mitigation; develop the analytical tools to extract critical information from systems and databases; and provide clear and consistent reporting and presentation of information to WWF staff, managers, and decisionmakers.   A secondary role for this position, which will increase in importance over time, is to support the WWF Global Environment Facility (GEF) and Green Climate Fund (GCF) teams to strengthen WWF’s capabilities to conduct effective institutional and operational due diligence with respect to project executing agencies, as well as to track and monitor compliance. WWF acts as a certified agency for the GEF and is in the final stage of obtaining similar status for the GCF, with a growing portfolio of projects and programs under development and implementation.

World Wildlife Fund (WWF), the world’s leading conservation organization, seeks a Transboundary Leader for the Kavango Zambezi Transfrontier Conservation Area (KAZA). KAZA was created in 2011 by five southern African countries—Angola, Botswana, Namibia, Zambia and Zimbabwe—and is the largest terrestrial transboundary conservation area in the world (520,000 km2).  KAZA is renowned for its wealth of wildlife, including more than half of Africa’s elephants (225,000), 20% of the continent’s lions, 25% of all African wild dogs, and up to 40% of the world’s cheetahs.   The KAZA vision “To establish a world-class trans-frontier conservation area and tourism destination in the Okavango and Zambezi river basin regions within the context of sustainable development” is premised upon a concerted, five-country effort to harness the region’s rich natural resources to promote economic development through conservation and tourism.  WWF has been supporting KAZA and its partner countries since its inception.   The WWF Transboundary Leader will guide, contribute to, and coordinate the collective inputs of WWF (Country Offices in Namibia, Zambia and Zimbabwe) working with the KAZA Secretariat and its partners countries, and other donors, partners and stakeholders of KAZA. This position will initially be based in Windhoek, Namibia.
