  • The Global Economy and Development program at The Brookings Institution (Brookings) is accepting applications for a Co-Director and Senior Fellow position within its Center for Universal Education (CUE).  The successful candidate will have deep expertise in education and an interest in advancing policy-relevant solutions across borders.   About Us: The Global Economy and Development program at Brookings aims to shape the policy debate on how to improve global economic cooperation and fight global poverty and sources of social stress. Brookings’ desire to “teach the art of handling problems rather than simply impart accumulated knowledge” to those in and engaged with government.   About Washington University in St. Louis   Washington University in St.Louis (WUSTL) has a long standing reputation for scholarship and innovation. Its faculty members are distinguished in their research and have received numerous awards for research including 22 Nobel laureates. The Olin Business School has been recognized as a world leader in management education and scholarly research. In addition to Brookings, Olin partners with more than 20 international universities, including Fudan University in Shanghai, China; the Cass Business School in London; Fundação Dom Cabral in Nova Lima, Brazil; and the Indian Institute of Management in Ahmedabad, India.   Position Overview: Serves as sales, marketing and communication lead for all BEE outreach materials and web pages; and implements BEE’s outreach efforts, including production of annual course catalog and marketing collateral, and selling seats for open enrollment classes.  Acts as liaison to the Brookings Office of Communications and Olin Marketing departments.   Note: This position is an employee of Washington University, who works in the Brookings Executive Education program.   • The Assistant to the Vice President and General Counsel provides executive administrative support to the Vice President and General Counsel (VPGC) and is a contributing member of the Office of the General Counsel (OGC). The Assistant provides internal and external scheduling support; strategically plans the VPGC’s time and activities; supports projects delegated by the VPGC; and supports the committees that the VPGC is on.  The Assistant supports the OGC on compliance, recordkeeping and education initiatives.

  • The Development Coordinator will provide support and coordination, writing and research support, and event coordination to the Global Economy and Development program (Global) development team. The Development Coordinator will also assist with the identification, cultivation, and stewardship of supporters, in addition to assisting with all aspects of administration and communication between Global and the central development office (DEV).
