Waitrose Blue Charter Programme: Knowledge Exchange

As part of the Marine Plastics Research & Innovation Framework, through generous funding from Waitrose & Partners, the ACU is developing a bespoke online training to help enhance the impact of activities aimed at disseminating research findings and promoting best practice interventions and innovative solutions emerging from their area of research.

The training will initially be tailored to the needs of our Blue Charter Fellows, but could be made available later to a wider cohort of academics.

The ACU is inviting proposals from Members and specialist consultants with expertise in research communication, knowledge exchange, research uptake and research impact to develop and quality assure online training modules for delivery on MoodleCloud.

There are 7 modules open for application, with GBP3000 available to cover design and content development for each module.

Each module must contain the following:

  • Module description
  • Module objectives
  • One Moodle Lesson covering content and exercises
  • Activities and document templates
  • An end of module quiz
  • Useful resources (Open access/free resources where possible)
  • Glossary
  • 3 x discussion questions for the module forum

In addition, each module author will be asked to illustrate the course content with Case Studies, to be collected by the author from our pool of Blue Charter Capacity Audit Respondents (names and details will provided to each successful author) and contacts within institutions currently undertaking marine plastics related research.
