Intern, Academic Affairs / 学术事务部实习生

The intern will assist in a variety of administrative tasks of the Academic Affairs office, including but not limited to arranging course-related activities as well as supporting academic programs as assigned.    The main responsibilities include: – Assist in managing and ordering office supplies. – Processing daily financial administration responsibilities, including transactions and collection of financial receipts. – Assist in monitoring and maintaining equipment. – Other miscellaneous duties as assigned. – Assist with the planning and development of special programs. – Assist faculty with the procurement and dissemination of course materials, and other research- and teaching-related needs. – Liaise with both internal and external personnel to ensure a smooth execution of curricular activities, field trips, and other academic programs. – Other relevant logistics support as assigned.

 

Intern, Alumni Relations

The intern will support and manage the alumni database, assist alumni event planning, implementation, and post-event follow-up, support special project management as assigned, as well as handle day to day office logistics and provide administrative support.   Responsibilities – Input and update information to the alumni database. – Assist in looking for alumni event venues, draft invitation and social media marketing materials, print name badge, compose RSVP list, attend event and support on-site logistics, take photos, and compile post-event summaries. – Support office operations as needed. – Work on special projects as assigned.

 

Intern for Office of Graduate and Advanced Education

The Office of Graduate and Advanced Education (OGAE) oversees the development and implementation of programs in master’s education, doctoral education, continuing and professional education, and other closely related non-degree programs at NYU Shanghai.   OGAE is looking for a highly organized and motivated individual to support the daily operation of the office.  While interns are expected to perform daily administrative tasks, there are opportunities to be engaged in ad hoc events as well as long-term projects and working with other school units, the faculty, and the students, depending on the changing needs of the office. This is a unique opportunity for students interested in the higher education sector to develop professional skill sets and gain a valuable global perspective in an enthusiastic and international working environment.   The main responsibilities include: – Daily office operation: process expenses and reimbursement, track invoicing and payment; collate and organize documents; create and maintain databases for events and groups. – Communications: develop promotional materials such as posters and brochures; update OGAE web pages with upcoming events and news articles; assist with the content creation for OGAE WeChat public account; facilitate admission inquiries from QQ group and phone calls. – Event support: provide on-site support to OGAE events such as workshop, open house, student activities, and others. – Other related responsibilities as may from time to time be assigned by the OGAE team.

Intern in this role will be assisting department head with various matters relating to administrative support in chancellors’ office.   The main responsibilities include – Administrative assistance: filing, photocopying, faxing, answering calls, receiving and greeting office visitors. Tidy newspapers/magazines. Process travel & expense claims. Order supplies office equipment maintenance (including stationary, pantry supplies), settle monthly bills. Support in travel arrangement (air tickers, hotels, ground transportation, etc.) Logistics support for meetings (reserve meeting room, set up meeting venue, prepare meeting materials and order refreshments, etc.) – Event supporting: Assist in special projects. The HR Immigration & Relocation Services Team offers various relocation services to expatriate faculty and staff, including immigration, housing, shipping, settling-in, repatriation and other ongoing support during employee’s relocation process to China. The intern in this role will be assisting the HR Immigration & Relocation Services Team with the following mobility tasks and activities.   The main responsibilities include:   – Prepare application documents for international employees’ work-related permits and Onboarding – Provide assistance to international employees in areas, including but not limited to airport pickup, bank card/SIM card opening, accompanying new employees to immigration bureau, etc. – Other administrative work, such as printing, copying, document translation, welcome pack preparation and etc. – Other duties as assigned

NYU Shanghai is seeking an enthusiastic Academic Translation Intern to join our Research and Instructional Technology Services (RITS) unit.   The Academic Translation Intern will be primarily responsible for translating and proofreading English subtitles and academic textsfor an online education project. The candidate will also have the opportunity to provide research support in areas including open online education and knowledge acquisition for second-language learners.   The main responsibilities include: – Proofread English subtitles for video lectures; – English-Chinese translation for video subtitles, readings, blogs and other related academic content; – Add bilingual subtitles, review, and publish content to the online Learning Management System; – Provide assistance in other tasks, including video archiving, workflow maintenance, and research support.
