The Road Media Project started in 2014 in Zaatari camp through the publication of a monthly magazine called The Road (https://theroadrefugeemedia.com/). The project started as a platform in which key service providers could disseminate messages about their services. It later became an initiative to give a voice to Syian Refugees living inside the camp camp and to provide them with training opportunities in journalism. Since 2014, The Road media project has managed to cover success stories as well as articles that reflect problems faced by the Syrian community living in Zaatari camp. The content of the magazine is entirely written by refugees. Volunteers who have contributed in the publications (150 young males and females residing mostly inside the camp but also some resettled abroad) have received training and support by professional journalists.
