Consultancy: Planning and budgeting for immunization services – Health Section, PD – NYHQ, Requisition# 510568 in United States

To describe and analyse current best practices for strategic planning and AOP development and implementation. Information should be collected from recent literature and from other health programmes and sectors. – To undertake a comparative landscape analysis of immunization service AOPs in Gavi eligible countries. The analysis should describe which countries make use of AOPs, how AOPs are developed, to what extent budgets are attached to the AOPs, links between the AOPs and the cMYP, and whether and how activities in the AOPs are being monitored. – Use supply-chain as a case study to determine the most optimal planning and budgeting process for immunization expenditures

Education Officer, NO-1, Kassala, Sudan in Sudan

The Education Officer reports to the Education and Child Protection Specialist for close guidance and supervision. The Education Officer provides professional technical, operational and administrative assistance throughout the programming process for the education programs/projects through the application of theoretical and technical skills in researching, collecting, analyzing and presenting technical program information while learning organizational rules, regulations and procedures to support the development and formulation of the Education Program within the Country Program. The Education Officer will provide direct technical support to the Ministries of Education to decrease the number of out of school children and increase girls’ education, improve school environment and makes schools child friendly, improve learning outcomes and provide direct support to the education programme to improve implementation, supervise and monitor the education process and ensure efficient utilization of UNICEF resources both supplies and cash.

Logistics Officer, NO-2, Khartoum, Sudan in Sudan

The Logistics officer provides technical and operational support in logistics as per the Country Office (CO) set-up, and is responsible for managing the logistics elements of the supply chains of a larger supply operation. Under the guidance and general supervision of the Chief Field Office P4 and technical guidance of the Chief of Education P5, and Chief of Child Protection P5 , the Education and Child Protection Programme Specialist is responsible for the planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the education and Child Protection programme/project(s) in North Darfur state. The Specialist supports the development and preparation of the Education and Child Protection programmes and is responsible for managing, implementing, monitoring, evaluating and reporting the progress of Education and Child Protection programmes within the country programme. The Specialist provides technical guidance and management support throughout the programming processes to facilitate the administration and achievement of results on Education and Child Protection programmes to improve learning outcomes and equitable and inclusive education, ensure adequate capacity to strengthen State protection and education systems institutional capacity, support upstream policy engagement and social protection and integrated approach to programming to address children vulnerability especially those who are marginalized, disadvantaged and excluded in society. The Specialist contributes to achievement of results according to plans, allocation, results based-management approaches and methodology (RBM) and UNICEF’s Strategic Plans, standards of performance and accountability framework.
