2018 Commonwealth Scholarship opportunities

csc_header.pngApplications for 2018 Commonwealth Master’s Scholarships, Commonwealth PhD Scholarships, and Commonwealth Split-site Scholarships are now open for candidates from low and middle income countries.

Funded by the Department for International Development (DFID), these scholarships enable talented and motivated individuals to gain the knowledge and skills required for sustainable development, and are aimed at those who could not otherwise afford to study in the UK. These scholarships are offered under six themes:

  1. Science and technology for development
  2. Strengthening health systems and capacity
  3. Promoting global prosperity
  4. Strengthening global peace, security and governance
  5. Strengthening resilience and response to crises
  6. Access, inclusion and opportunity

As a Commonwealth Alumnus, we ask that you act as brand ambassadors and promote these scholarships amongst your networks, including friends, family, colleagues and students. By doing so, you will help us recruit the next generation of the best and brightest professionals, experts, and leaders from your country.

The deadline for applications for Commonwealth Master’s and PhD Scholarships is 22 February 2018. The deadline for applications for Commonwealth Split-site Scholarships is 15 February 2018.

  2. i wish to have information on distance funding of PhD by the common weaith and the period when such funding is available. thanks very much

    1. Distance learning scholarships often open around first quarter of the year when the face to face processes and pressures may have reduced. Keep watching by for now keep search Universities that provide them to see eligibility and get yourself prepared
